I will be donating any and all unused Monopoly codes here on this page.  And as we’ve seen in the past, quite a few other folks usually join in the fun along with me.  So check this page a few times a day to see if you can score some points, or feel free to add to the discussion of the McDonalds Monopoly game and prizes.

Update (9/20): The pre-promotion started today (9/20), where if you go to PlayAtMcD.com, you can get a jump start on getting registered and entering a code for a chance at $10,000. This code that can be found on the McD’s bags – or I can just tell it to you: “MCDFORREAL” – Go enter it now!

Update (9/24): Some folks are getting codes early! I checked my local McD’s and did not find them to be using any of the Monopoly stuff yet, but you might want to check yours!

Update (9/27): The games have begun! (But the McDonald’s website can’t seem to handle the load!). There are three codes that everyone can use to get started: MCDFORREAL, FREECODEMCR and MCDMONOPOLY

Some more info about the game: 

  • This pre-promo thing goes from 9/20 to 9/26.  You can start entering real codes on Tuesday, Sept 27.
  • The codes will be on food items until 10/24/2011 (or until supplies last), but you have until 11/5 to enter the codes online.
  • Codes can be found on:  Big Mac (2 peels), Nuggets (4 peels on 20 piece, 2 on the 10 piece), Large Fries (4 peels), medium drinks (2 peels), McCafe drinks (2 peels), my favorite: Filet-o-Fish (2 peels). And for breakfast: hash browns, Egg McMuffin, and Oatmeal all have them (2 peels each).
  • Some good prizes this year including MyCokeRewards Codes, a bunch of EA games prizes (video games), Kinect for Xbox 360, gift cards, a trip to London, the Caribbean, or Chicago, a Nissan Z Coupe, and a Nissan Leaf. Very cool!

  • If you use a code, please let others know! You can even post anonymously if you feel the need! It saves us all time, and it makes our code donors feel good. RBM stands for “redeemed by me” and RNBM means that you tried the code, but it was “Redeemed, Not By me”
  • Comments are held for moderation, which means you see them only after I approve. This helps cut back on the spam.  And while we have a very friendly environment here, I usually don’t allow begging, complaining, or anything that doesn’t relate in someway to McDonald’s Monopoly to appear here.

    Yeah I figured it wasn’t free. And I doubt I will win but I can always try. I plan on getting one in 1.5 – 2 years so either way I’ll be spending atleast that. But I’ve been saving my hard earned money and after a deployment it will bring me closer to finally getting the car I’ve wanted.

I entered 4 codes and only one of them won 30 coke points but when I went to claim it, it took me to my account screen and showed me that I hadn’t even entered that winning code. Then when I went to try and enter it again, it said it was already used. :\ I already emailed them but I’m hoping this doesn’t happen all the time.

    That’s one great thing about being Canadian ~ no taxes on lottery or contest winnings. Only thing we would need to pay before driving it away is the car insurance. and that 50K a yer? Tax-free. Better than having a second full-time job!

  59. Good question Julie. I looked it up and the prizes are not lnked to the codes in any way. They pre- set the times that someone will win each prize. If you are the first person to enter a code at that time, you win.

  60. @skyboard64 Are you referring to the 120-point weekly limit MCR has? If so, points you win from McD have no bearing on that. These points count as “Bonus Points”. The 120-point limit only applies to points earned by entering codes from Coke products.

  64. @ Nick That happens to me when I enter too many codes that have already been used. Take a 1-2 day break from entering codes and it will stop.

    So after nonstop peeling and code entering, I received the following from the 24 properties that I had amassed:

    The MCR site blocked any further entry of codes after I entered my 5th one stating that I had maxed out for the promotion, but I’m really hoping that I have only maxed out for the weekly amount and not for the entire campaign as that would just suck seeing how it is just getting started.

    That and I was really hoping to get some redbox coupons. Especially since they just recently introduced them to where I live (Hawaii).

  178. I sent for 812 game pieces when this contest began. Out of those game pieces I won about 1 in 8 so not nearly the 1 in 4 they say are winners. Online wins have been
    a lot less often than last year too. Last year I won a lot more higher value food

  266. 1 in 4 is not the odds, the odds I experienced were 1 in 20 which is not even close; and I am quite sure this was not “just chance” or “my bad luck”. This promotion has been going down hill for years now. The restrictions on items has grown to exclude all but the most profitable on the menu as the actual winning pieces have been continually reduced. I remember the first MacDonald’s collectable piece game back in ’78 or ’79 so I have been watching it for some time. I don’t care what kind of promotion you run, just be honest about the odds.     #283: The last number was 3
    #286: I live in the state of Washington now. The missing letter was W
    #288: The roman numerals represented 67 and 71
    #290: A “sexy prime” is just a number that is 6 numbers away from another prime number. more info here. There were only a few possibilities, and 73 was the correct answer.
    #296: Was encoded in binary. There are online tools to decode binary.

  329. With the online Monopoly game ending in a few days, I would think that the number of codes being entered is declining. If you have a bunch of codes yet to enter, it seems that you’ll have the best chance of winning a prize if you enter codes in the wee hours, Eastern time. I won a couple more 30 Coke Rewards points this a.m. Sunday morning, half of my 10 codes won…I’ve had very little luck when entering codes during business or prime time hours.
