To those folks that still visit: My sincere apologies regarding the lack of upkeep around here. Â The site was down for a bit while I had to eradicate some malicious code that managed to get into the software that runs this site.
Years ago, this would have been handled immediately, but it’s funny how life works. Â In fact, I registered this site when I was 22 years old, 11+ years ago. Where were you 11 years ago? Â I was in college, and this site, and a few others like it were my primary after-school project. Â I’ve met a lot of awesome people, and made some lasting connections (Darryl, miss ya, bud!). Â I also hit the wave at the right time in 2002/2003, when ad-blockers were rare and blogs were the next big thing. The site did more than just pay for itself… at one point, I was offered 20k to sell the site. Â But it was my baby, and the ad revenue generated on this site alone has since paid off my student loans and then some. Â For this, I will be ever thankful.
But life changes a lot in 11 years. Â In college, the thought of earning 100 bucks a month from a website was very tempting, and worth all of my time! As I progress in my career, and family life, the maintenance of this site suffers, and for that I am sorry.
I can’t promise that we will ever be back to the thriving community we once were. Â People seem tired of some of the longer running promotions (MyCokeRewards) – and I can’t blame them. Â I see much bigger spikes in traffic these days from the shorter yearly programs such as the McDonald’s Monopoly program than from MyCokeRewards. Revenue the site brings in has nearly vanished… this also doesn’t help my motivation. Â I will, however, make an effort to keep things up and running the best I can. Â I guess that is my way of saying “thank you” and giving a little back.
For any of my long-time visitors, describe what your life was like 11 years ago and what changed for you! I always love hearing from you guys!
I haven’t been around here for 11 years, but I have been here for about 2. Eleven years ago I was 24, and just had my first baby. Life was nuts!
I did notice when you were gone, and missed the information on your site. I have looked for others, but they weren’t even close to being as informative.
Anyway, kudos to you for putting your family and stuff first before this. I can appreciate that.

Came across your site from a random search in Bing for “My Coke Rewards”. Interesting idea, although I suspect the codes disappeared very quickly. As for the question of the day, where was I eleven years ago… I was working at a big financial firm in Jersey City, a father of a two-year-old boy, and just started drawing cartoons on a white board to entertain my colleagues.
