Jailed for a cell phone call

Judge Norene Redmond sentenced Carmen Granata of Eastpointe, MI to 30 days in jail because someone made a phone call from her porch. Thank goodness the police aren’t out dealing with real crimes in Detroit!

Check out Carmen Granata’s story. This was also featured in the Detroit Freepress, among other places.

Man, I’m glad I don’t have neighbors like hers. People that call the cops for that kind of thing make me sick.

  1. Carmen i’m from Boston and we have a lot of crime out here but from what I read from different websites Detroit has the highest level of crime. HMMM is this a crime? Some little girl just got raped but the cops missed it because they was arresting you for the cell phone use. NICE. Wake up America!!

  2. THIS CRAZY JUDGE IS RUNNING AGAIN SHE THINKS SHE DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG. WHAT A NUT SHE DID NOT ONLY SENTENCE THIS LADY TO 30 DAYS FOR HER FRIENDS CALL. SHE HAD TO HAVE A COURT ORDER ENTERED AGAINST HER TO STOP BRINGING HER DOGS TO WORK AFTER THE CITY ASKED HER NOT TO. THEN SHE HAD A WEB POLL WHERE YOU COULD VOTE FOR WHO YOU THINK SHE SHOULD LET OUT OF JAIL. SHE CALLED THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ON HER OWN COURT BECAUSE SHE DID NOT THINK IS WAS HANDICAP ASSISSABLE. SHE HAS EVEN HAD A PUBLIC CENSURE BY THE SUPREME COURT OF MICHIGAN.
