Free stuff from the Airlines

Filed under: Travel Tips, Free Stuff — vvhitekid2 @ 8:32 pm

Sure the airlines have skimped out on a lot of the little perks and freebies, but there are still some things you can ask for on a long flight. Here are some things to ask for:

  • Peanuts! - Yes, some airlines still give em if you ask!
  • Airline Socks - These guys are great for not wearing shoes and not stinking up the plane with your stinky feet!
  • Pillow - You probably can’t really keep it, but it might be good for a nap!
  • Blanket - Just like the pillow, they might want this back.
  • Headphones - They actually let you keep these if you want. They’re not the best quality, but could be useful for your mp3 player in a pinch
  • Candy! - This one might be pushing some limits, but just tell them that you’re a diabetic and need some candy. Who’s going to turn down a diabetic??
  • Magazines - Every airline has their own magazine in the seat pocket that they publish for free. Take it! It could give you something to do while waiting for your luggage.

Also, if you see someone having difficulties getting around on the plane (like a disabled person), help them out! Once I got a free flight voucher for helping a guy in a wheelchair get into the restroom. Offer your assistance to the stewardesses whenever you can!
