So long, Lean Cuisine!

The End of Lean Cuisine Delicious RewardsWell, December 31st 2014 will mark the end of at least one loyalty program.  Lean Cuisine sent out this very direct email a few days ago:

Dear Valued Member,

We wanted to let you know that the LEAN CUISINE Delicious Rewards program will be ending December 31, 2014. But until then, you may continue to earn points on eligible LEAN CUISINE meals and redeem your points for fabulous rewards in our catalog. For more information, please read our FAQs.

Your participation is truly appreciated, and we thank you for being a loyal LEAN CUISINE customer

— The LEAN CUISINE Delicious Rewards Team

So much for this one! Could we see the end of other programs in 2014? Perhaps MyCokeRewards? Only time will tell.

Sorry about the downtime!

asdfhjNerdTo those folks that still visit: My sincere apologies regarding the lack of upkeep around here.   The site was down for a bit while I had to eradicate some malicious code that managed to get into the software that runs this site.

Years ago, this would have been handled immediately, but it’s funny how life works.  In fact, I registered this site when I was 22 years old, 11+ years ago. Where were you 11 years ago?  I was in college, and this site, and a few others like it were my primary after-school project.  I’ve met a lot of awesome people, and made some lasting connections (Darryl, miss ya, bud!).  I also hit the wave at the right time in 2002/2003, when ad-blockers were rare and blogs were the next big thing. The site did more than just pay for itself… at one point, I was offered 20k to sell the site.  But it was my baby, and the ad revenue generated on this site alone has since paid off my student loans and then some.  For this, I will be ever thankful.

But life changes a lot in 11 years.  In college, the thought of earning 100 bucks a month from a website was very tempting, and worth all of my time! As I progress in my career, and family life, the maintenance of this site suffers, and for that I am sorry.

I can’t promise that we will ever be back to the thriving community we once were.  People seem tired of some of the longer running promotions (MyCokeRewards) – and I can’t blame them.  I see much bigger spikes in traffic these days from the shorter yearly programs such as the McDonald’s Monopoly program than from MyCokeRewards. Revenue the site brings in has nearly vanished… this also doesn’t help my motivation.  I will, however, make an effort to keep things up and running the best I can.  I guess that is my way of saying “thank you” and giving a little back.

For any of my long-time visitors, describe what your life was like 11 years ago and what changed for you! I always love hearing from you guys!

McDonald’s Monopoly 2012 – Free Codes!

McDonald’s Monopoly season is upon us once again! And like we’ve done in many years past, we are giving away free McDonald’s Monopoly codes for 2012! Join us in the comments below as we share codes, discuss prizes, strategies, and other Monopoly news!

I will be donating every piece on this page on a first-come, first-serve basis. And just like last year, I’m hoping to trigger a spark of generosity, and have some other generous folks to follow suit!

Some details about the 2012 McDonald’s Monopoly Game:

  • Dates this year are: 9/25/2012 to 10/22/12 (or until supplies run out)
  • Codes can be found on: Medium fountain drinks, medium and large McCafe Iced and blended drinks, medium OJs, hash browns, Big Macs, 10-piece nuggets, Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin, Oatmeal, Fish sandwich. You get two pieces if you buy: 20-piece nugget, large fries.
  • Prizes in 2012 include some good ones: US Soccer Family Trips, Beaches Resort Trips, Cash prizes, a FIAT 500, NHL prizes, lots of RedBox DVD rentals, and of course, lots of MyCokeRewards point bundles.

Rare pieces for McDonalds Monopoly 2012:

  • Mediterranean Ave (code #925) – $50 (8500 prizes)
  • Vermont Ave (code #928) – $5000 (20 prizes)
  • Virginia Ave (code #932) – Beaches Resort Vacation (250 prizes)

  • My initial donation of free codes: BJJXMDTND1B, 1RW7W7Q4W9G, TNVTZV1K6K6

And just a few quick rules for particpiating on Asdfhj.com:

  • If you use a code, let others know! You can even post anonymously! It saves everyone time, and it makes our code donors feel good. RBM stands for “redeemed by me” and RNBM means that you tried the code, but it was “Redeemed, Not By me”
  • Comments are held for moderation, which means you see them only after they get approved. This helps cut back on the spam.  And while we have a very friendly environment here, I usually don’t allow begging, complaining, or anything that doesn’t relate in someway to McDonald’s Monopoly to appear here.

Free MyCokeRewards Codes (XII)

MyCokeRewards Wow! It’s already 2012, and we’re back with another year of MyCokeRewards, and another year of sharing Coke codes with the nice little community we’ve built here!

It has been six years since we first started sharing MyCokeRewards codes, and what I find amazing is that some of the people that were doing this six years ago are still around today, still being as generous as ever.

If you’re new to this site, welcome! You will find news, information, discussion about the prizes and the MyCokeRewards program, and of course, MyCokeRewards codes – for free. No catch.  Out of the kindness of their own hearts, folks donate codes only to be consumed by strangers across the internet, with little more in return than a “thank you” – and sometimes not even that.  This site inspires me to be a better person, which is why I’ve maintained it for so long, I think.

This page is 12th in a series of pages dedicated to sharing codes.

If you’d like to trade or sell codes, please use the Code Trading Page. Or visit this page to beg for MyCokeRewards codes (or anything else for which you feel like begging).

Some quick and easy rules for participating here:

  • If you use a donated code, please leave a quick comment indicating such. A simple “Thank-you” or “RBM” (redeemed by me) goes a long way in saving everyone from trying the same codes over and over. It also encourages our generous donators to post more often!
  • Comments are held for moderation before they are posted. While we have a very friendly atmosphere here, I keep the moderation pretty strict. It boils down to this: If your comment does not contribute meaningful content to the discussion of MyCokeRewards, it isn’t going to show up. Begging or trading requests will also not show here (see above).
  • If you’re asking a question, be sure to check the MCR FAQ page to see if it has already been answered

Again, many thanks to the generous users of this site. It would be nothing without you. Now let’s have a great year in 2012!

McDonald’s Monopoly 2011 – Free Codes!

McDonald's MonopolyMcDonald’s Monopoly is back for 2011, and you know what that means around here… more free codes for everyone!

Update (9/20): The pre-promotion started today (9/20), where if you go to PlayAtMcD.com, you can get a jump start on getting registered and entering a code for a chance at $10,000. This code that can be found on the McD’s bags – or I can just tell it to you: “MCDFORREAL” – Go enter it now!

  • Comments are held for moderation, which means you see them only after I approve. This helps cut back on the spam.  And while we have a very friendly environment here, I usually don’t allow begging, complaining, or anything that doesn’t relate in someway to McDonald’s Monopoly to appear here.
And finally, if you WIN something, POST IT! Everyone loves hearing about the big wins!

Lean Cuisine Delicious Rewards – Free codes!

Lean Cuisine seems to have joined the trend of code-based customer loyalty programs with their “Delicious Rewards” program! Lucky for us – now we can get healthier while we earn and share codes.

In an effort to reduce how much take-out I order here in Seattle, I’ll be buying quite a few of these – and like MyCokeRewards, Pepsi codes, and Dr. Pepper, I will be sharing my codes on this page.  Yep – free codes. No catch. And I’m hoping there are others out there that may join me in the sharing.

First, some information about the program:

  • Code can be found on the inside of the frozen dinner box. Each code is worth 20 points.
  • You can enter the codes at deliciousrewards.leancuisine.com.
  • You can earn some extra points by taking surveys and polls on the site.
  • This program is interesting because its one of the first I’ve seen where you earn “Badges” as you go. Badges can be earned in many ways… adding items to your wishlist, referring friends, or simply just trying out new frozen dinners (and entering the code). Fun!
  • The program is scheduled to end at the end of the year, 12/31/2011, but will likely be extended.

And finally, some quick rules for participating:

  • If you use a code, please leave a quick comment indicating such.
It boils down to this: If your comment does not contribute meaningful content to the discussion of this program, it isn’t going to show up. Begging or trading requests will also not show here.

Free Pepsi “Refresh Your World” Codes

We’re a little to the game on this one. When I first heard of the “Refresh your World” (Refresh Everything) program, I thought “no way people are going to be into this” – but I was wrong.  I can tell from the amount of comments on our Facebook Code Giveaway Fan Page that people actually use these codes!

So here we are – same drill as usual.  I will, along with anyone else who is feeling generous, give away every Pepsi Refresh cap code I come across on this page.

First some info about the program:

  • From what I have seen, the caps are yellow. They can also be found on the back of paper cups sold in fast-food stores, etc.
  • The program ends on 9/30/11
  • The codes can be redeemed at refresheverything.com.
And the usual rules about using this page:
  • If you use a code, please leave a quick comment indicating such.
It boils down to this: If your comment does not contribute meaningful content to the discussion of the Pepsi program, it isn’t going to show up. Begging or trading requests will also not show here (see above).
  • Again – please, no begging. We leave codes at random times in the comments below. Begging doesn’t speed anything up.

And the sharing starts…… now!

Free Dr Pepper “Every Bottle Wins” codes

Every Bottle WinsThis year, Dr Pepper has a new game on codes and cups: Every Bottle Wins – where you can redeem your codes for various items, including EA games downloadable content.  Pretty cool stuff.

I drink plenty of Dr Pepper, and don’t really have a use for the EA games stuff, so I’m going to start posting the codes under the cap here, on the comments on this page. Like the latest MyCokeRewards code sharing page, I’d expect some other generous folks to pitch in as well.  We have a great sharing community here.

A few facts about the game:

  • The game currently lasts until 12/31/11. This doesn’t mean it won’t be extended (hopefully it will be)
  • Current games you can get content for include: Sims 3, Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Fight Night Champion, Dead Space 2, Battlefield Heroes, Pogo (online games),  Dr Pepper Football, EA Sports MMA, Medal of Honor, Skate 3, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2 and Spore – quite the selection

A few quick groundrules:

  • If you use a code, please leave a quick comment indicating such.
  • Please, no begging. I leave codes at random times in the comments below. Begging doesn’t speed anything up.
